Getting Started

CarbonAI is a specialist decarbonization intelligence platform combining AI research, proprietary analytics, structured sustainability data, and transparent source evidence. It helps professionals research complex questions, assess carbon projects, monitor market and policy developments, and review sustainability communications.

CarbonAI is designed for sustainability, carbon market, strategy, procurement, legal, compliance, reporting, and communications teams that need evidence-backed intelligence for decarbonization decisions.

You can choose a plan directly from our Pricing page or request a demo if you would like to speak with our team first. Enterprise access, trials, and tailored deployments are arranged through CarbonAI sales.

Yes. You can request a trial before committing to a subscription. Trial access may be tailored to your organization and intended use.

Yes. CarbonAI is designed for professional and organizational use, so account registration requires a business email address.

Platform & Use Cases

CarbonAI supports four connected workflows:

  • Research: investigate regulations, standards, methodologies, projects, markets, and climate policy.
  • Assess: evaluate carbon projects using ratings, project documentation, peer comparisons, pricing, and impact context.
  • Monitor: follow pricing, registry activity, methodology changes, policy developments, and other market signals.
  • Communicate: review claims, disclosures, reports, and sustainability communications against supporting evidence.

Yes. CarbonAI supports project screening and due diligence through independent AAA-to-D project ratings, feature-level analysis, project documentation, peer comparison, pricing, market activity, and country, SDG, and technology context. These tools help users compare projects and identify areas that may require deeper investigation.

Yes. CarbonAI began with carbon-market intelligence and now supports broader decarbonization research across regulation, standards, climate policy, corporate disclosures, sustainability communications, and related datasets.

Yes. CarbonAI research covers voluntary carbon markets alongside relevant regulatory and compliance frameworks, including carbon-market rules, climate policy, reporting requirements, Article 6, CORSIA, and other decarbonization regulation.

Yes. You can upload project documentation, policies, reports, due diligence materials, and other documents and analyze them alongside CarbonAI research and proprietary intelligence.

CarbonAI supports project rating reports, country and SDG analysis, communications-risk reviews, and other structured outputs generated from CarbonAI intelligence. Users can also export or share relevant research and analysis generated through CarbonAI.

Available report types and export options may vary by product area and plan.

Project Ratings & Data

CarbonAI project ratings combine multiple project, country, technology, documentation, market, and impact factors into a standardized AAA-to-D rating. The methodology is documented and available on request, so users can review how the rating is constructed and examine the underlying feature-level analysis.

Request the rating methodology

A CarbonAI rating is an evidence-based assessment of project characteristics and documented risk factors. It is designed to support screening, comparison, and due diligence rather than replace a user’s own investment, procurement, or legal judgment.

CarbonAI brings together registry records, project documentation, methodologies, verification and monitoring materials, policy and regulatory sources, structured global datasets, market data, and CarbonAI proprietary analytics.

Update frequency depends on the data type. Market prices are assessed daily, while registry, project, policy, methodology, and global indicator data are refreshed as relevant source information becomes available.

Yes. Transparency is a core design principle. CarbonAI research includes source references, and project ratings and indices are supported by documented methodologies and underlying data so users can review the basis of the analysis.

No. CarbonAI’s AAA-to-D project ratings are proprietary carbon-project assessments. They are not financial credit ratings and should not be interpreted as assessments of an issuer’s creditworthiness.

CarbonAI provides project- and vintage-level market pricing intelligence where available. Pricing is assessed for market intelligence and comparison purposes and should not be treated as a binding quote or executable price.

Research & AI

CarbonAI combines specialist AI research with proprietary carbon-market and sustainability intelligence rather than relying solely on general web knowledge. Its research agents work across specialist sources, structured datasets, project documentation, proprietary ratings, impact indices, and market intelligence, while keeping supporting evidence visible to the user.

CarbonAI can plan a research task, retrieve relevant sources, compare information across documents and datasets, and synthesize the findings into a referenced answer. Users can continue the research through follow-up questions or add their own documents for additional context.

Yes. CarbonAI uses AI as part of its research and analysis workflow, alongside structured data, proprietary analytics, documented methodologies, and source evidence. AI is used to accelerate retrieval and synthesis rather than replace the underlying evidence.

AI-generated analysis can be incomplete or incorrect. CarbonAI is designed to reduce that risk by grounding research in specialist sources, structured data, documented methodologies, and references that users can independently review. Material decisions should still be subject to appropriate professional judgment and due diligence.
